Oops, I guess I'm not really "squawking" to anybody else but CaddyWumpus. The CXs are quite frankly as good as any DW player "not-so-good-tuner" fancy drums.ĭo you really play these drums, or are you just talking crap? They're a little punchier than the maple CXs, and have all the great features of DW kits. I think the FS birch kits are great kits. and nobody else complains about them on Collector's Series kits?

Do you think the FS birch shells and CX maples are "junk"? I've been getting pro sounds out of a CX for years and even if you're not enamored by the whole PDP DW ugly step child bull, do you really think all the other features are poor?Īlso, if the mounts are so bad, how come they are virtually identical to DW's STM mounts and tuning rods, etc. WTF are you guys talking about? Admittedly the snares are poor, as included shell pack "less than" snares.īut seriously.
